Jo Maugham QC is prominent tax barrister at Devereux Chambers, author of the blog waitingfortax.com and the founder of the Good Law Project, which aims to use law to deliver a progressive society. Jo launched the crowd funded People’s Challenge which challenged the Government’s position that Article 50 could be triggered by Royal Prerogative and he crowdfunded the Dublin Case to establish whether we can revoke our Article 50 notification. It is currently going through the Irish High Court and is likely to be referred to the European Court of Justice. Jo has sat on the Bar Council’s Equality and Diversity Committee for a number of years and is a regular contributor in the national media. He has written for or appeared in the Financial Times, the Guardian, The Times, Wall Street Journal, Mail, Mirror, Telegraph, BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and many others.
